Reading Wheelers' Cycle Races (one of two)

A penny-farthing race which took place in Palmer Park during a meeting of the Reading Wheelers.
Held at Palmer Park cycle track, the Reading Wheelers, a bicycle club met for a few races. Events included the half-mile race, the two mile race, the penny-farthing race. The 12 hour record was broken by Mrs Pearl Wellington who covered 212 miles in the time, seven better than previously. She did a celebratory lap of honour.
