Gas Mask Drill at Huntley & Palmers

Staff from the Huntley and Palmers biscuit factory prepare for war, taking a course in air raid precautions. Everyone in Britain was given a gas mask in case of a gas attack during an air raid - thankfully these were never needed.

This photograph was published in the Berkshire Chronicle on 29 April 1938.
