The Queen Mother at Huntley and Palmers, Reading (six of seven)
Photograph from Reading Chronicle Collection - October 1955
The Queen Mother was photographed touring Huntley and Palmers, where she was shown around by R.H.R. Palmer and was photographed signing the visitor book. She met the directors, workers, and pensioners associated with the company, and had a tour of the factory, where she was presented with a replica of her wedding cake. She visited Reading to open the new Technical College, and had lunch in the Town Hall.
