Mr Jack Bryant demonstrating the icing of cakes to the Queen Mother on her visit to Huntley and Palmers.
The Queen Mother was photographed touring Huntley and Palmers, where she was shown around by R.H.R. Palmer. She met the directors, workers, and pensioners associated with the company, and had a tour of the factory, where she was presented with a replica of her wedding cake. Mr Jack Bryant demonstrated the icing of cakes to the Queen Mother. She visited Reading to open the new Technical College, and had lunch in the Town Hall.
